Years of trial and error led Boncoura to create, in their words, "the perfect polo shirt". They've developed a heavier than normal "honeycomb" knit textile so that the shirt has a certain level of heft to it and keeps its shape better over time. In typical polo manufacturing the collar is shaped by cutting knit fabric into the shape of the collar, a method preferred by factories for its efficiency. Boncoura's design director could care less about efficiency, so the collars of these shirts are knit individually in the shape of the collar, with a different size made for each shirt size, and finished with a selvedge edge. A classic plain polo, taken to a new level by Boncoura.
