The Self Edge x Brain Dead collaborative capsule collection of jeans, jackets, t-shirts, hats, Good Art pendants, and stickers is here. We made some really high quality things with the Brain Dead crew, took us only two years to get everything produced but we think it was worth the wait.

We have come together with Brain Dead to create a collaborative capsule collection of jeans and jackets made of a special slub yarn cotton and linen blend Japanese denim, woven by Japan's famed Nihon Menpu Mill. This denim was designed and produced exclusively for this collection and was cut and sewn into three different garments in Japan, at the highest level quality jean cutting and sewing production facility we know of.

This denim was designed to be easy to wear but packed with character, coming in at a 14.01oz weight (yes, that's the actual final spec the mill gave us) and without any additional chemicals or treatments; this is a pure indigo dyed left hand twill unsanforized denim that's been lightly factory rinsed for easier sizing. We had the jeans finished with custom Brain Dead shank buttons, copper nipple rivets, and a stamped cowhide leather patch. These jeans fuse iconic Brain Dead design cues with the refined sensibilities of Self Edge throughout.

The straight tapered model features a classic straight-leg fit with a medium rise and some taper below the knee—reminiscent of a late-1940s 501 but with a little more taper and the wide leg model features a wide leg fit and a medium/high rise.

The 6-panel cap is made in California from an 85/15 wool–nylon Melton blend with a black cowhide adjustable strap, antiqued silver clasp, and a woven Brain Dead flag detail. Featuring an unstructured medium crown, embroidered eyelets, and single-needle lockstitch taped inner seams.

The two graphic t-shirts are made in California from heavyweight garment-dyed cotton jersey, the navy tubular knit tee features a puff-print chest graphic and vintage no-side seam construction while the black tee features a front and back graphic.

We also have a Good Art for Self Edge x Brain Dead sterling silver coin/pendant. This piece is handcrafted in 100% sterling silver and finished by hand for a unique character. Each piece comes with two nickel-plated brass split rings in different sizes and a Good Art baggie, all made in Good Art's Los Angeles foundry.
